Harang entered the game with an ERA of 11.37, but he was solid in six innings of work for Seattle. Harang allowed just two runs and worked out a jam in the sixth innings to hand a comfortable lead to the Seattle bullpen.
The Mariners bats also did their part. Kendrys Morales drove in three and Michael Morse hit his third home run in four games. Michael Saunders had a three hit performance at the plate and took advantage of his speed on the base paths with a stolen base and advancing to second base on a wild pitch.
Turning Point: The two-run home run from Michael Morse in the fourth inning blew the game open and put it out of reach for Baltimore.
Player Of The Game: Kendrys Morales. Morales went 3 for 5 with three RBI and a two RBI double in the sixth inning to seal the game for Seattle.
Next Up: The Mariners have a day off Friday as they travel to Toronto to begin a three game set with the Blue Jays. Felix Hernandez (3-2, 1.90 ERA) will take on RHP Josh Johnson (0-1, 6.86 ERA) in the series opener.
