RENTON - The Seattle Seahawks are a completely healthy football team.
For a team getting ready for the playoffs this is a remarkable accomplishment. Only one player on the entire 53-man roster was listed on the team's injury report on Wednesday. RB Marshawn Lynch was the only player to be limited with a back injury during Wednesday's practice.
The Redskins had 16 players listed on their injury report.
"We’re very fortunate right now. We’re in good shape," head coach Pete Carroll said.
Lynch has been limited during the week most weeks this season as the team continues to manage a back that has a tendency to tighten up on him. Despite being listed almost every week, Lynch has played in all 16 games this season and ran for 1,590 yards and 11 touchdowns.
The Seahawks didn't even list any players that had been managing minor injuries as fully participating in practice. Lynch was the one player on the entire report. It's an incredible feat in a sport where injuries are the norm.
Seattle will get LB Leroy Hill back this week after missing the regular season finale with a hamstring strain. CB Brandon Browner also is back with the team after being suspended for the last four games of the season for a violation of the league's performance-enhancing drug policy.
Browner was activated to the 53-man roster from the reserve/suspended list when the team placed CB Walter Thurmond on injured reserve Monday.
