Winquist’s 100th point came in the form of an assist on Manraj Hayer’s eighth goal of the year, which got Everett back within 4-1 early in the third period. Austin Lotz (9-14-0-1) stopped 38 of 44 shots in net for the ‘Tips, who went 0 for 2 on the powerplay while the Americans scored on all three of their powerplay chances.
The Silvertips opened with a solid period; applying offensive pressure and getting 12 shots on goal. Tri-City scored the only goal of the first however, taking a 1-0 lead as Brian Williams cut down the boards and across the slot before tucking a backhand shot into the net. Everett’s best scoring chance came minutes earlier when Reid Petryk was robbed by a diving Luke Lee-Knight after Ryan Harrison’s centering pass. Shots after the first were 12-11 in favor of the ‘Tips.
The Americans scored the only goals in the second to increase their lead heading into the final period. A powerplay goal gave Tri-City a 2-0 lead when a Michal Plutnar wrist shot from the blue line beat a screened Lotz to the blocker side. Another long shot by Parker Bowles also made its way through traffic and in less than 90 seconds later to make it 3-0. Justin Gutierrez then scored off the rush later in the period to put the visitors in command through two.
Everett broke through in the third after Josh Winquist won an offensive zone faceoff back to Manraj Hayer, whose quick shot beat Lee-Knight low inside the far post. Mitch Topping responded for the Americans with a 5-on-3 powerplay goal and Jesse Mychan scored on the remaining powerplay to put the game away for Tri-City. Luke Lee-Knight (4-2-0-0) stopped 32 shots in net for the Americans as the final shot count finished 44-33 in favor of Tri-City.

The Silvertips have two more home games this week, hosting the rival Seattle Thunderbirds Friday night at 7:35 in a game that will be shown live on ROOT SPORTS television. The ‘Tips will then conclude their five-game homestand Saturday night with a rare visit from the Lethbridge Hurricanes at 7:05 pm before finishing the weekend with a road game Sunday afternoon in Vancouver.
