The Seattle Seahawks continue to shuffle their roster during the offseason and swapped out a few more players on the back-end of their roster on Wednesday.
The Seahawks announced they have waived WR Matt Austin and signed former Eastern Washington WR Greg Herd. Per the NFL transactions notice, Austin was given a "left squad" designation prior to being waived by the team.
Herd caught 165 passes for 2,348 yards and 17 touchdowns in four years for Eastern Washington. Austin had signed with Seattle as a undrafted free agent.
In addition, Seattle claimed DT Michael Brooks off waivers from the Detroit Lions. Brooks signed with the Lions as an undrafted rookie out of East Carolina and was a second-team All-Conference USA selection.
To make room on the roster, the team released G Jordan Roussos. Roussos signed as an undrafted free agent out of Bowling Green.
TE Anthony McCoy cleared waivers after being waived/injured by the team on Tuesday and has been added to the Seahawks injured reserve list. McCoy suffered a torn Achilles tendon in practice last week.
