RENTON - DE Red Bryant and LB Leroy Hill did not practice Friday and are expected to be game-time decisions for Sunday's game.

Bryant and Hill were unable to practice at all during the week for the Seahawks. Bryant has been dealing with a plantar fascia issue in his foot for the last few weeks. Hill injured his ankle last week against the Miami Dolphins but managed to finish the game despite the injury.

Hill was able to get some work in before practice according to head coach Pete Carroll, but Bryant was much more limited.

"Red did not do much today," Carroll said. "We're going to take him all the way up until game-time. He's dying to play. Leroy Hill ran and changed direction, did all the kind of stuff, had a legitimate workout today. We'll check him out tomorrow and take him all the way up until gameday and see how that goes."

WR Sidney Rice is also likely to be a game-time decision. Rice felt his calf tighten up toward the end of practice on Friday and the Seahawks held him out to be careful. Carroll seemed optimistic that he would be able to play Sunday.

"We just limited his work at the end of practice," Carroll said. "He made it through two-thirds of it. We'll see what happens tomorrow. We think he's OK."

CB Marcus Trufant suffered a hamstring injury late during practice on Thursday that has seriously affected his available this week. Trufant did not practice Friday and is listed as doubtful for Sunday's game agaisnt the Bears.

"He's got an issue there that we're going to have to deal with," Carroll said. "...We're really surprised that that popped up. It's going to be hard for him to get back from that."

CB Walter Thurmond will be active for the first time and will likely take a lot of the workload usually given to Trufant, although Carroll seemed to leave the door open that others could get an opportunity there as well.

Carroll said there has yet to be a decision made as to whether G James Carpenter or G John Moffitt will start at left guard for the Seahawks. Carroll said both are healthy and it's just a matter of who offensive line coach Tom Cable decides to go with.
