The Seattle Seahawks have placed WR Ben Obomanu on injured reserve with a wrist injury suffered against the Detroit Lions on Sunday.
Obomanu went to see a specialist on Monday according to head coach Pete Carroll. Obviously, the feedback wasn't positive for Obomanu as he is now done for the season.
To replace Obomanu, the team added WR Jermaine Kearse from the practice squad. Kearse has been on the practice squad most of the season.
In addition, the team promoted T Michael Person from the practice squad and released CB Danny Gorrer.
WR Phil Bates has been added to the practice squad. Bates was with Seattle throughout training camp. He had just one catch for two yards in three preseason games for the Seahawks.
