The video above shows you some of the highlights from Irvin from last year.  Pay close attention to the 2:00 mark, that's where you will see the variety of moves that Irvin uses when he rushes the quarterback.  It's a small sample size, but Irvin displays the ability to run right past his guy to get to the quarterback. He also shows nice move by starting on the outside and then cutting back to the inside.  Finally, in the one highlight against Rutgers he shows, at least in that example, the ability to bull rush the tackle.

What are they saying...

Bob Hertzel of the Times West Virginian writes that yesterday's pick of irvin at 15 to Seattle couldn't have happened to a better person.

Our own Curis Crabtree has a complete write up from yesterday's first round, including audio from Pete Carroll, John Schneider and Bruce Irvin.

Friday morning, "The Franchise" Mitch Levy, sat down with Irvin and GM John Schneider. First is the Schneider interview and he said Irvin was their guy all along.

Before Mitch sat down with Schneider, he had a chance to talk to Bruce Irvin, who did not disappoint. We like to call guys like Irvin in the radio business, "Radio Gold."

The Metro News in West Virginia has the details about what happened with Irvin and his latest arrest. On the surface it doesn't seem like a big deal.

The Sporting News talked to Irvin before the season and caught up with him after the draft as well and talked about how his mom kicked him out of their house in high school because she was tired of watching him throw his life away.

Mike Casazza of the Charleston Daily Mail has a nice write up on Irvin, with quotes from his Junior College coach Bob Jastrab. Jastrab said Irvin was always the hardest working player on the team.

Former Seattle reporter, Les Carpenter, who now works for Yahoo Sports, has a great read on Irvin and the struggles he has endured in his life. Really, a great piece.
