MONTLAKE - The Washington Huskies practiced in half pads as they will have a scrimmage that is open to the public at Memorial Stadium tomorrow at 11 a.m.

Saturday's practce will be the only open practice of spring before the spring game, which will be held at CenturyLink Field next Saturday, April 28.

The position change of Nate Fellner to linebacker appears to be permanent as he was running primarily at the strongside linebacker position during practice.

Defensive coordinator Justin Wilcox talks about the move of Fellner in the audio above at the top of the page.

DE Talia Crichton and C Drew Schaefer are still not practicing with knee injuries. LB Taz Stevenson was sick and did not practice and LB Scott Lawyer continues to sit out with a groin injury.

Walk-on LB Alec Kimble was back practicing after missing all of spring so far with a foot injury.

S James Sample and S Travis Feeney remain in red non-contact jerseys with shoulder injuries. FB/LB Cooper Pelluer was back to full contact activity in practice, but sat out the end of practice while icing his injured shoulder.

WR Kevin Smith (knee), RB/LB Ryan McDaniel (knee), RB Deontae Cooper (knee), DE Hau'oli Jamora (knee), OL Colin Tanigawa (knee) and DT Semisi Tokolahi (foot) remain unable to practice and likely won't during the duration of spring practice.
