The 78th Annual MTR Western Sports Star of the Year will be back at Benaroya Hall January 25, 2013. Created by Royal Brougham and the Seattle Post-Intelligencer in 1936, this event has celebrated the achievements of Washington sports for nearly eight decades.
The event features a pre-show reception and silent auction where attendees are invited to mingle with special guests, nominees, honorees and past winners. The Reception is followed by the Award Show that showcases the phenomenal athletes, coaches, executives, philanthropists, and stories of 2012. Participating this year will be individuals including Adrian Hanauer, Edgar Martinez, Bob Rondeau, Lenny Wilkens, Drew Bledsoe, Queen Underwood, Spencer Haywood, Andre Kajlich, and many more.
