There was so many ups and downs over the past 5 years with Jake Locker, but he leaves UW on the ultimate high.

After leading UW to 4 straight wins, and a Holiday Bowl victory over Nebraska, it just got better as he was selected #8 overall by the Tennessee Titans in the NFL draft.

I never understood why he was ripped on for turning down the NFL draft after his junior season. He was not ready, and he doesn't care about money.  So why would that have been the right decision for Jake?  He made the right decision for him, and it paid off handsomely.

He leaves as a Husky legend that even in the worst of times, never pointed fingers, or blamed anyone but himself.  When he played thru the pain of a broken rib, he never said it was a factor for his poor play.

He stayed true to his convictions, and he proved to know what was right for him.

Congrats to Jake, and here's hoping that Jake has a long and productive career with the Titans.
