How about that Howard Lincoln letter about how the local media has treated the Mariner organization? I don't think the media is going out of their way to rip the M's....it's been served up on a silver platter since the second week of the season.
It's real simple...this organization has produced 4 playoff teams in it's history...Chuck and Howard have been at the top for the majority of the Mariners existence....us media folk might be the dumbest guys in the room like Mark Cuban said, but it doesn't take a rocket scientist, or even a bad MLB CEO to see that A (Howard Lincoln) + B (Chuck Armstrong) = not good my friends...not good!. So Howard can be as mad at the local media as he wants but the fans are the people who should be mad. The fans demand excellence and the media is often times the mouth piece for the collective fan base.
I love the Mariners! I wear my hats and sweatshirts even during 100 loss season. As a fan I am tired of excuses. It's time to do whatever it takes to put a winner on the field, even if that means a change at the top.
