More Big Closures This Weekend!!

Another weekend, another round of ridiculous closures in and around the Seattle area.  Here is the breakdown of road closures and events this weekend.  Bottom line - SERIOUSLY, PLAN AHEAD  (last weekend we heard horror stories of folks spending an hour on I5 getting through downtown!!)

CLOSURES THIS WEEKEND:

I5 SB near U District :  Southbound I5 through the UDistrict area will be down to ONE lane from 10pm Tonight (Friday) to 10am Saturday.  This is for panel replacement (and is also weather dependent).  *To help this traffic, the SB I5 express lanes will be open all night.

SB I5 on-ramp from Ravenna : NE Ravenna Blvd on-ramp to SB I5 will be closed along with the above closure.

I5 NB at Michigan Curve: Up to three lanes of northbound I5 from Albro and Spokane will close from 10pm tonight (Friday) to 7:30am Saturday.  Traffic will be detoured to the S Michigan on-ramp.  This closure will occur AGAIN from 11:59pm Saturday through 7am Sunday.

NB I5 on-ramp from Swift : This ramp will be closed along with the above closure.

405 / 522 : The Eastbound and Westbound SR522 on-ramps to southbound 405 will be closed from 11pm Saturday to 8am Sunday.

SB 405 near Kirkland : Crews will close up to 2 lanes of southbound 405 from NE 195th to SR522 from 8pm Saturday through 8am Sunday.

SB 405 near Kirkland: Crews will close up to three lanes of southbound 405 from SR522 to NE 128th street from 8pm Saturday to 7am Sunday.

(So basically up to three lanes of SB 405 between 195th and 128th will be closed from 8pm Sat to 8am Sun).

Holy moley.  So... avoid I5 through downtown Seattle tonight and tomorrow night, and also avoid SB 405 through Kirkland tomorrow night.

EVENTS THIS WEEKEND:

FRIDAY: Mariners Game, Safeco Field, 7:10pm

SATURDAY: Mariners Game, Safeco Field, 6:10pm

SUNDAY: Mariners Game, Safeco Field, 1:10pm

Long story short, PLAN AHEAD especially you want to head through Kirkland or Seattle in the late evenings this weekend :)
