On Tuesday, The Seattle Seahawks announced plans to increase the involvement of season ticket holders in front office operations.
This increased involvement comes in the form of a panel, sure to excite die-hard Hawks fans.
The official name of the panel will be, “The President’s Fan Advisory Council” and is headed by Seahawks President, Peter McLoughlin.
In a statement, the Seahawks said, “Members of the President’s Fan Advisory council will have direct access, both online and face-to-face, with team executives in addition to an open forum to share their thoughts and ideas with those who can implement change.”
In response, on Wednesday Ian Furness and Jason Puckett reached out to Hawks fans and offered their services as “agents” who will strive to connect The Furness Show’s listeners with the Fan Advisory Council.
As soon as Furness and Puckett decided to open up their own interview process on KJR’s airwaves, the phone lines lit up.
They asked listeners what they would change about the current Century Link Field fan experience and there were numerous ideas.
Lower beer prices aside, it was clear that Furness and Puckett were not going to have time to address all the issues on Hawks fans’ minds.
So, tomorrow the Furness Show will go to the phones again in search of 950 KJR’s newest Fan Advisory Council member.
Listeners should prepare to interview over the phone and competition is fierce, as only one listener from Wednesday’s show locked up a call-back for tomorrow.
Hawks fans may be bracing themselves for the most grueling interview a non-paid, non-guaranteed position can provide, but that’s ok. In fact, it’s encouraged.
To interview tomorrow, The Furness Show requires that listeners be 21 years of age and currently hold season tickets with the Seahawks.
While there isn’t a specific dress code for interviewees, The Furness Show does encourage fans to get as creative as they can at work or at home tomorrow. At the very least, it should help candidates embrace the spirit of the 12th
So get ready. Tomorrow Furness and Puckett make their debuts as agents in search of the best candidate for the President’s Fan Advisory Council. Who knows? It could be you!
