Milton Days 2014

Sat, Aug 16, 2014 @ 10:00 am to Sun, Aug 17, 2014

The City of Milton, Milton Events Committee, and the great residents of Milton, cordially invites you to the 107th Milton Days 2014  with the theme of: Rock the Park!  Go Hawks! August 16-17, 10 am to 10pm Saturday and 11am to 4:30 pm Sunday.

Our parade, with Big Lo (Seattle’s Biggest Sports Fan) as Grand Marshall, moves down Milton Way from Surprise Lake School to Milton Community Park  (AKA Triangle Park) includes  the 56th Army Band, the 1st Corps Honor Guard, Strykers, and the Daffodil Float, plus many others entrants.  The parade ends at the park where a ton of family events, a cyclone swing, Rock Wall, foosball, air hockey, Gaming Van, Pie Eating Contest, 3 Legged Race, Face Painting, hula contest, Balloon Toss, Home Depot Kids Crafts,  and other fun events. Throughout the event, we raffle great prizes donated by our great local businesses throughout the event, and at closing on Sunday a 50/50 raffle drawing.

We have many vendors and spaces for organizations to promote their products and services. Best prices anywhere, and best of all you get to watch all the entertainment for free.  Spaces are available and you won’t find a cheaper venue anywhere.  We have approximately 3500 residents joining us for the festivities and from surrounding communities of Edgewood, Fife, Federal Way, Sumner, Puyallup, and other local cities.

Entertainment on Saturday includes Larry Jones, Impersonator; Motown Cowboys, Band Unloaded, and PopOffs. On Sunday, we have Rock Bot, a live karaoke band, with a Milton Idol contest, and Jerry Miller, formerly of Moby Grape.  On Saturday, enjoy the music at the Beer Garden.

This is the first year t-shirts are available for purchase to highlight the Go Hawks! Theme. We hope people will wear them at closing while doing the Seahawks Shuffle to cheer the Seahawks on to another great season! We are hoping to YouTube the dancing. The dance will be led by a local Zumba group.

In December 2010 the City of Milton City Council voted to remove Milton Days from its activities and City Budget. Since that time the Milton Events Committee volunteers have organized and raised all the funding. Various businesses, for example, DM Disposal and Fife Towing, have been wonderful sponsors for Milton Days.  The committee hold fundraisers throughout the year and sells raffle tickets at $1 each.

The City of Milton, Events Committee, Milton Days, and the fantastic citizens of Milton would love to have your team come join us for Milton Days 2014. Thank you for taking time to read this we are on Facebook, and the link can be found on the City website at
